The story behind these amazing soaps
Born in the fortress of Aleppo in Syria about 2,000 years ago, this soap is possibly at the origin of the first hard soaps in the world.
Our Aleppo soaps are hand-crafted by Madame Akila Mansour, a Syrian soap master who has acquired her skills of soap-making from the generations of family before her. Each bar contains essential fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamins. Its high laurel oil content is the very ingredient that sets this soap apart from other soaps.

Works like magic
I have eczema and have tried everything. Including steroid creams which aren’t great in the long run. Gave this a try and it reduced the outbreaks within 2 weeks. The smell took a little getting used to. Reduced my flare ups within 2 weeks of use. 5 months and 2 bars later, still works wonders. It’s so good that my friends’ babies with eczema swear by it as well. It is not a 100% but an 80% reduction is definitely good enough! (Which also means I have cut down the steroid use by a lot!)
Decent soap but pricey
I have tried the Aleppo soap in the 20% and 40% concentrations. This one is a darker shade compared to the 40%. It smells nicer and has a spa like scent. Though maybe it is because the bar is new. I thought $30+ for a bar of soap is really expensive so I bought the half bar. I have eczema and TSW and the soap is okay for my skin.
